The four tiles
Registration is the one to check first when something is wrong. If your
handset is not registered, no call can reach you however available you appear.

Whoever you are on a call with — see who you are talking to — then your recent calls, and your colleagues with their own registration state — the whole list of them is the directory.Saying you are here, or not
Presence is declared, by you, and nobody else sets it. Available, on a break, offline. It is stored rather than worked out, so it survives a reconnection and a different machine. Two things about it are worth knowing:- Being on a call wins over what you declared. Somebody who forgot to come back from a break is still on the phone, and drawing them as away would send the next caller elsewhere.
- Available is not the same as reachable. If your handset is not registered nothing can ring, however available you look. That is what the Registration tile is for.
Call control lives in the phone
Answer, hold, transfer, park and conference are in the phone panel on the right of every page, not on this screen — see the phone in your browser. Those keys act on the call the switch says is yours, so they work whether you answered in the browser or on a desk phone.The desk shows on a call in place of the presence buttons while you are
on one — the live-call card that used to sit here was removed once the phone
panel could answer, hold and transfer from every page. One control for one
call.
